I am strangely fascinated by images of women drowning themselves... this was actually a very precarious perch for the model, who was an amazing sport to go into a swamp in winter wearing a wedding dress. It wasn't taken with the idea of Ophelia, it's just that as I struggled to print it, I kept thinking of her...
Again, an older piece that I love much more for its content than technical perfection (impossible to achieve given the situation- the picture was taken on a holga, using Kodak 1000 speed film... a holga is a 20$ plastic toy camera. They have very individual results )
Content is all that counts, no need to apologize for taking it with a Holga and highspeed film.
It's beautiful image and has me eager to see more of your work.
hey now, your holga is not that bad!... you MIGHT try to add the burned in vignette border.. give it a bit more of a holga "feel"... that might make the photo more intimate... as it is, the upper sky/trees area doesnt totally do it for me, as the contrast is a bit low up there (time to use those adjustment layers with mask!! ^_^)
good job... youre on way to sudden fame and fortune... another one tomorrow???
